About

I’m Gemma.

I like: family, camping, reading, singing (though I can’t), dancing, friends, Mike Patton, cider, my allotment, food (cooking and eating), trees, giggling and tunnocks tea cakes (in that order).

I happen to think that the way that the way we live at the moment is a bit….rubbish (for our health, our happiness and our world). I think it can be better, so I am trying to change the way I do things to lessen my impact on the environment, and have a more fulfilling , interesting life.

I am working on all areas of my life, and I will post my trials and tribulations on here – so far i have re-acquainted myself with my bike, went on an eco-cycle trip round Europe, used my political muscle by going to the UN Copenhagen Conference, taking an up-cycling course (learning how to sew and that), and bought a house which I am greening-up.

You might find something interesting on here – whether its finding ways to save on your bills, make something pretty to wear, or finding out the latest political gossip, or, you may not! :)
